Terms of service
These terms are between you and CoachM8 ("we", "us") when you use the CoachM8 website, dashboard or member app. If you are a member of a gym or coach that uses CoachM8, your membership with them is a separate agreement and their own terms also apply.
01The service
We provide tools for training, nutrition tracking, check-ins, messaging, booking and payments. Coaching, nutrition, cycle and exercise information is general guidance only and is not medical advice. Speak to a doctor before starting a new exercise or nutrition programme, especially if you have a health condition, are pregnant or are returning from injury. Calorie and macro estimates, including those from barcodes and photos, are approximations.
02Your account
Keep your login secure and give accurate information. You are responsible for activity on your account. You must be at least 16. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service or other members.
03Memberships and payment
Paid plans are billed through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. Price, billing period, any free trial and any minimum term are shown before you pay. You can cancel any time from Account, then Manage billing, and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. One-off programme purchases are non-refundable once loaded into your app, except where the law says otherwise, including your statutory rights.
04Bookings and cancellations
Classes and sessions have limited spaces. Please cancel in the app if you can't attend so someone else can take your place. Guest bookings require you to accept the participation waiver first.
05Content you upload
You keep ownership of your photos, videos, voice notes and messages. You allow us and your coach to store and display them to deliver the service. Don't upload anything unlawful or anything that shows other people without their permission.
06Acceptable use
No harassment, no attempts to access other people's data, no scraping or reverse engineering the service, and no use that disrupts it for others.
07Liability
Exercise carries an inherent risk of injury and you take part at your own risk. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. We aim for a reliable service but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
08If you run a business on CoachM8
These points apply to coaches, gyms and studios that set up a business on CoachM8. You are responsible for your own memberships, prices, waivers, health forms and the way you coach your members, and for having the right insurance and qualifications. You are the data controller for your members' records and we process them on your behalf. You own your content, brand and member data, and you can export your client list from Settings at any time.
Member payments are taken through your own Stripe account, and Stripe's terms and card fees apply. We do not hold your members' money and we take no share of it. Our platform price is charged monthly by member band, excludes VAT, and you can cancel at any time. New businesses get a 7-day free trial. A card is needed to start, and if you cancel before the 7 days are up you will not be charged. After that the monthly price for your member band applies until you cancel. The current prices are shown on our website before you pay.
09Changes and ending
We may update these terms and will give notice of material changes. You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account in the app. We may end or suspend access for serious or repeated breaches.
10Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK you keep the right to use your local courts.
